FEATURE FRIDAY RETURNS - FULL!
Now that I've caught my breath, done some schoolwork, and resolved my teacher problems, Feature Friday returns!
Comment, pop a link in there to a recent deviation, and I'll feature the first 3 of you & give comments. If you don't link me to a specific work, I'll just mosey on over to your gallery and pick something. =^_^=

My Comments: " I love this kind of art! Firstly, I like the background. Those nice bold shapes have depth of color. You really mixed a lot of different values in, which makes it interesting! The thing I wholly love are the clothing styles. I confess I really love headscarves. When I see ladies wearing them, I always look at how pretty the fabrics are and how it keeps the sun off your neck. So, I can't help but imagine how that deep plummish color would be in real life. I love what she's wearing. I would totally rock that high-waisted skirt and the boots (and gloves). I know that's it's supposed to be incognito, but I can't help but admire the fashion! His shoes are pretty cool, too, and I love all the buttons. *stares at all the buttons* I like the buttons on the jeans, on the jacket, on the skirt.... *loves*"

My Comments:: " Hahaha! Derby girl! She looks pretty rad. Love all the details you gave her, like her rollerblades. Wow, the boot part of them comes up so high! At least her knees will be protected! But really, she's got all the details! I like her goggles on her head, and I like her cape. What I like best are the arms details. The gloves are pretty epic, and the pads and grooves on and around her elbows and forearms really make her look dangerous. The high-necked shirt covering her mouth makes her seem mysterious, like a derby-girl-vigilante!

Very nice. I love the overall green tint, too."

My Comments: "Oh, my! This is lovely! I like the story about it, too -- getting inspiration from beautiful objects. I like seeing how much you've improved, too. The colors in this are just gorgeous. The whole thing is tinged with this golden tone, and using that deep orange in the foliage, lips, and fallen leaves just adds to the warmth. I really like the pose of the lady; she looks serene, yet alert and aware of all the beauty around here. The shimmery, translucent-feeling fabric of the skirts offers up a magical feeling. Finally, the contrast of her midnight hair and pale skin really finishes off how wonderful this piece is. Oh, and I love hoe tope-feeling the browns are. That's one difference from the first version that I think particularly enhances this newer version!"
